Ladies Missionary Outreach
a.k.a. LMO

     Ladies Missionary Outreach is a group of women and teen girls in our church whose goal is to be a blessing to those in ministry, especially ministering to the women and children. We meet almost monthly with a break during the summer months. Each year we try to make improvements to become more productive throughout the year. We brainstorm, set goals, try new things, and then have a time of feedback. Here is a list of the kinds of things we’ve done and will be doing this year.

· Make monthly missionary prayer request sheets to be inserted in our bulletin.
· Add missionary birthdays and anniversaries to our church monthly calendar.
· Have a baby shower for a missionary and send it to her in a box.
· Send homemade Christmas cards with gift of $10 for each missionary child.
· Send out a card with a simple gift to every missionary woman in the spring.
· Collect money to send out gift cards to all students from our church that are away at college.
· Keep our LMO bulletin board up-to-date with note cards and letters that the LMO receives.
· Do hands on work by helping churches that we’ve planted to go door to door visiting, passing out flyers and cleaning.
· Clean and decorate our church for the Church Planter’s Conference.
· Make an amenity basket available to all ladies that come to the Conference.
· Make gift basket for the main speaker of the conference.
· Provide a missionary closet with shopping bags for missionaries to help themselves to whatever they want or need. (Toiletries, first aid, school supplies, books, stationery & cards, tapes, magazines, Sunday school materials, shoes, baby items, kitchen items, laundry detergent, things for the home.)
· Send a gift home with the husband of those missionary wives that are unable to come to our church due to illness or other limitations.
· Post a web site.
· Help with the Missions Conference in many ways. We organize to have provided:
- greeters for the missionaries
- fruit, flower and/or cookie trays for the motel rooms
- laundry services provided
- decorating for the brunch and/or banquet
- planning menus
- provide a biography of all missionaries that will be coming to the conference
- dinner for the missionary families after the services each night
