Pastor -  Dan Smith

I am Pastor Dan Smith and my wife's name is Nancy. I have been Pastor of the Buckley Road Baptist Church since November of 1979.
Nancy and I grew up in Michigan.  She is from Detroit and I'm from Flint.  We graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri in 1975.  Right after graduation we took a youth director position in Iola, Kansas.  We later then took a similar position in Halstead, Kansas.
In 1977 I answered the call to Great Lakes Baptist Temple in Flint, Michigan and became the Associate Pastor, Youth director, and Bus director.  In October of 1979 Buckley Road Baptist Church invited me to become their Pastor.
The emphasis of this great church has been on World Missions.  BRBC has given close to 2 million dollars to world mission since 1979.  God has used this church to call many men and women into the full time ministry and to birth 7 other churches.
BRBC also takes its doctrine seriously.  We believe that the Bible is the very Word of God with no error.  The Bible is our text book. Our foundation is the doctrine found in God's Word.  We believe in preaching and teaching the Word of God.  We are an old-fashioned, Bible-believing Baptist church.  If you visit us you can expect to be welcomed with a handshake and friendly faces.  You can also count on hearing a sermon from the Word of God followed by an invitation to make a decision for the Lord.
We are a family friendly church, that includes a graded Sunday School, Junior Church, toddler church, and nursery care during the Sunday morning services.  On Wednesday night for adults and teens we have Bible study and prayer.  The children's program Patch the Pirate Club meets during our Wednesday night Bible study.  Friday nights we have an addiction program that we call Reformers.  If you or anyone you know has a stronghold in their life, no matter what it is, this program would do them a world of good.  We have a child care that night and a children's club that night for the people who come to Reformers.
Please be sure to look at the rest of our website and stop in and visit us soon.

Bill Logue came on as full time Assistant Pastor of Buckley Road Baptist Church in February 2005.  He is not new to the area, as he came to New York in 1985 to work in Church planting. They have nine children: some at home and some serving the Lord here in the States.
Bill was led to the Lord in 1958 but wasn't in a Baptist church until 1975.  “In 1975 he not only surrendered to preach and go to Bible College, but also to do my best to raise my family to bring honor and glory to God.  I did not know how to do that but, by faith, submitted myself to God’s leading to accomplish this task I couldn’t do.  All my decisions are made with a concern for the local church because my Lord and Savior died for the church.”
Pastor Logue graduated from Baptist Bible College of Springfield, Missouri, with a 3-year Missions and 4-year Theology degree.  He pastored from 1980-82 at Bethany Baptist in Altona, Illinois, helped plant one church from 1982-84 in Columbia, Missouri, and another in Ogdensburg, New York from 1985-92.  He pastored at Old Fashion Baptist Bible Church in Oxford, New York from 1992-98 when his family became members here at BRBC.
Brother Logue’s life verse is Matthew 6:33

Nancy Logue

After being a stay-at-home mom for 33 years, raising nine children, and home schooling for 24 years, I finally put my executive secretarial degree back to work in accepting the position of church secretary.  It is a privilege to serve God in this capacity, to be a part of the duties, to win souls for Christ, baptize them, and teach them to serve the Lord.  To be a part of helping fulfill the great commission as a member of the staff of our church is an honor that I am thoroughly enjoying.

My dad moved the family here to become Pastor when I was only 1 ½ years old.  At the age of 5, I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior under the preaching of my father.
At the age of 12, during a particular preaching meeting, God got a hold of my heart and changed my life forever.  I was called to preach.  My desire to serve God grew into a passion to lead others to Christ.  As a teenager in a public high school, I took it upon myself to try to be an example and witness to my peers.  It was because of good parents, good youth directors, and God’s grace that I was able to live a life that can now be used as an example and an encouragement to teenagers today.
I graduated from Heartland Baptist Bible College in May of 2002.  Immediately following my graduation I became Youth Pastor at Buckley Road Baptist Church.  I have had an amazing time with the teens and have been blessed to see many go off to Bible College to train to use their lives for the Lord.
But my biggest blessing came on April 23, 2005 when I married Melissa Hastings, the girl of my dreams.  Melissa grew up in Madison, Indiana and lived a life similar to mine.  Her parents did a great job raising her to do right and live for the Lord.  Melissa attended Grace Baptist Church her whole life and also graduated from their Christian School.  She then went to Pensacola Christian College and graduated in December 2003 with a medical office degree.  She has been an amazing addition to the youth group and Church.  God is truly using her to be a great help and encouragement to the teen girls and myself.
I am so glad that God brought her into my life so that we can work together as a team to reach the world for Christ through the teens of Buckley Road Baptist Church.
